Beaches haven’t been closed. The car parks have been and we aren’t supposed to exercise anywhere we can’t walk to until Monday.
From Monday, I think the car parks will still be closed, but you’ll be ok to drive as near to a beach as you can get. I can’t tell if this 5 mile thing is a rule or a suggestion, it’s pretty ambiguous.

Beaches aren’t closed Dickie. You just can’t travel to them or park there, and can only stay briefly. People going for a walk and since last week surfers (who are local) are fine. Local beaches for local people innit.
