Yes. Because when you have an aging populatio, and a smaller proportion of that population is of working age, you won't be able to support your elderly people.
You have two choices:
A) Working age immigrants arrive to bolster the workforce
B) Kill off the elderly sooner

How would it affect the profit? They’d just be able to carry on what they are doing now but without the risk of criminal prosecution. If it were decriminalised they’d be able to move openly, sell online etc. They’d be able to sell to a lot more people who also would not be at risk of arrest. |
Legalising it wouldn't include letting convicted or suspected dealers carry on with their trade. It would be licensed and closely regulated, fixed premises with cctv and security, health monitoring, all with the intention of putting the criminals out of business and not making them legitimate.
I do agree with Drizzy here, we have been fighting drugs the same way for decades and it's not gotten any better, we need to change tack, to try something new. Carrying on the same way must surely be madness? | |
