The Taz is Pikey I think, beyond that who knows. There's not much on either board worth looking at to be honest.
ECB was right about the board going down the pan, I just disagree with his stated reasons for it happening. People lost the ability to debate without throwing insults then moaned and whinged when insults were thrown back at them.

I agree with a fair bit of that. That last line though, I don't remember exactly what was said about the McCanns but I still say that no decent parents would go out drinking and leave young chikdren in a hotel room, specially in a foreign country.
I know I'm judging them there, but it's not something we have ever done. In fact when our son was born I pretty much gave up drinking. Judgemental, holier than thou, a paragon of virtue...maybe but we have both put our sons need ahead of our own, he's the most important part of our lives.

I remember my little son being right by my side in HOF store in Cardiff and the next moment he was gone, even with 5 of us there. It was only a matter of seconds but I was terrified, could imagine him going out of the street entrance and under a car. Similar though to the way in which James Bulger was taken by those kids.
I think the McCanns had gone for a meal, although they presumably had a drink. They were directly the other side of the swimming pool from the apartment and imagine they could see the front of it from their seats. I worked out if we had sat at the top of our garden (longish but not massive by any standards) with the kids in bed, we would be no closer to our children than the McCans were to theirs.
In the program yesterday it was suggested they made such a hash of the investigation because nothing like that had happened before in that area, so presumably be considered safe. I just feel for any parents if the fates conspire, then there but for the grace of god go I. I am sure many thousands around the world do the same or worse every day and are lucky enough to get away with it, so neither lose their child, nor get judged by others. How many for instance leave their children asleep in hotel rooms at weddings.
Anyway sorry didn’t mean to turn this into a McCan thread and hopefully many have learned to be more careful from the publicity. I think it was the publicity that many resented, but what parent would not do anything in their power to try and get their child back.

I suspect most parents have accidentally lost track of their child at some point, we did (like you in a shop) but accidentally is much different to deliberatley going out and leaving children alone. Still, I always find myself hoping that whatever happened to Maddy, she didn't suffer too much and maybe she's still alive with a family who loved her!
