You could be right but I can find no mention of Ampadu on £20,000 a week only €7,500 - 8,000.
Leipzig were reportedly paying hi wages in full and their financials break down to about that.
Given his loan was universally considered catastrophic Chelsea may well want him given at least half a season regaining match fitness and confidence - loan to us would be a sensible move. | |

My thoughts are;
- Great that he likes it here and is keen to return
- Would take him on a permanent signing (He and Benda being our 2 keepers)
- but why sign another deal with Newcastle when they are clearly not going to play him unless they fall back into the Championship and have a clear out? It seems like he'll never be our keeper without paying Newcastle a transfer fee we can't afford...if he wanted to move here permanently then why not just sit out this year and leave on a free (forcing Newcastle to loan him out to any club willing to pay his wages in full) ?
Right now I want us to sign Benda on a longer deal and make him our no. 1 keeper. We can pick up cover for Benda on a free and save ourselves a loan deal (which we could then use on another position).
If Woodman genuinely sees himself as a Swansea player he could sign for us on a free next year. | |
