Contrast that to PlanetNotSwans where the undue criticism is a feral hatred of Cooper, even personal abuse of his appearance, sickening. And sadly, a Copper Out thread during/post Newport game which went viral. Ffs. The bloke deserves some slack. He's credibly riding high on a massive learning curve. Plenty of positives to enjoy.

He also sorted out or defending at corners which Potter never organised. There will always be a negative minority who think they have more football knowledge than a professional manager. If the criticism is fair what's the problem. There will always be disagreements like this. It's part of being on a forum. Personally I don't like his habo=it for playing people out of position and for sitting back too much on a slender lead. If he's learning though and things improve it's all good. If he keeps on making the same mistakes it's all bad!

Of course he is a manager a coach just coaches teams. A manager selects the team. We are just following the stupid American custom of calling managers coaches. Just like the BBC now uses offensive players rather than attacking players because it is more hip. Steve Copper actually won the August manager of the month. I know our owners have rebranded the manager and assistant manager as head coach and assistant coach this year but Cooper is the manager the same as Potter was.

Well that’s because he was a failed roofer that got lucky And then did very well, making lots of good decisions And then pissed on his chips undoing all of his good previous work

Kinell fella, I mean no disrespect to you but clearly 'eyes wide shut'. We all accept constructive criticism. But none of us should accept the level of vitriol and personal abuse Cooper's received on that forum. Ffs he's our Club's manager giving it his best shot.

Monk got us an 8th place in the Premier League while destroying the should of the club and ripping the heart out of the team. Today was a great result which Cooper will accept praise for. Newport was dreadful for which Cooper blamed all the players for. For me the worry is we play pretty much the someway all the time, even subs are like for like wether we are winning or losing. Again today we went 1 up and sat back, PNE had a couple of decent chances to equalise which, as we saw quite regularly last season, many teams would have converted. It's not about knowing more than managers , it's about opinions and criticism. If I see a duff film I'm not going to say it is wonderful because the producer din't completely mess up.

All managers/teams/people should accept criticism and learn from mistakes. Fans are entitled to voice their opinion. But needless overt disgust, and in some cases abuse, should not be dished out or tolerated. Some of the snowflakes dishing it out wouldn’t have the balls ever to do it In real life, Which tells you everything about these types.

Yes, he picks the team, but being a good Manager is also about game management and that is where he is very weak and very slow to learn..

No praise or credit for the on 11:20 - Sep 13 with 907 views | dobjack2 | Our style of play last season was more effective as an away side than as a home side. At home we could struggle to break down teams and get caught on the break. Frustrating for the majority of fans who only watch us at home Good result yesterday let’s see what Saturday brings. Too early to talk the team up or down and still plenty of time to bring players in at centre half and centre forward. On the flip side there is also plenty of time for players to go. Let’s see where we are after the loan window closes.

Where is this viral thread? I wouldn't mind seeing it, surprised I missed it. Not sure what the OP's expecting? Cooper the new messiah is it? We won, but it was all very poor. Weird.
