I remember posting on an old rugby site a dozen years or so ago and on the political section 7 or 8 regulars used to challenge me on what they thought were far left views, I regarded my views as centre, centre left and their views as Tory right wing, then coinciding with an election there was an online questionnaire that would tell you what parties in 1,2,3 order best suited your views, I was impressed because I came out as I expected, at the time I think it was Plaid 1, Greens 2 and SDLP 3
So I told the others to have a go and they were all either Labour, Labour but considering voting Lib-Dem being life long Labour or no political allegiance and just like I thought in every single case they came out as a mix of Conservatives, UKIP and Ulster unionists, they were Tories who thought they were Labour and I see that today on sites like this but now they are more likely to realise and admit they are Tories.
Socialist policies in years gone by leading to people going to universities and living longer combined with having mortgages has resulted in people becoming more Tory, there doesn't seem to be an end in sight if the UK remains as it is, but if it breaks up then Scotland and Wales might well get away from perpetual Tory rule. If by the mat you mean a political party then no. I'll vote for the person I think best at the time , or indeed I might spoil my ballot as a protest if they are all rubbish.

Virtually every individual I have seen on that particular site comes out in the bottom left hand quarter.
I'm talking about a site that would match you to the actual policies of UK parties (at the time) and whoever they were they had it smack on. | |

That doesn't mean the test is wrong but it could mean your opinion of other peoples politics is wrong, maybe that's the problem?
The UK compass I posted has me less to the left, much more centrist which is where I usually am. Just left of centre and that's because there are some right wing ideas I do believe in. | |

I grew up with Labour member parents, labour supporting brothers and supported labour until Tony bloody Blair the Thatcher clone and "new labour" took over.
That was the last time I voted for them, they are no different to the Tories now, they are only in politics for self enrichment.

Nope, it's a bloated, corrupt organisation hell bent on expansion and remakingthe world in it's image. I firmly believe it will cause more problems (in the future) than it claims to have prevented. Maybe even a war. Unless it collapses first.

I grew up with mum's family died in the wool Labour and father's independent or Conservative as they were in business. What a joyful household to behold.
Had many a lively debate in Fleet St when we visited. A docker versus a businessman!.
No wonder I grew up apoloitical hating them all.
Saw Sunny Jim Callaghan once at the Brangwyn just to see what they were about. Her's a guy that led us to economic disaster in the late 70s and seems to almost got away with it.
Throw in Blair and Campbell and their causation of thousands of deaths and the witterings of the filth that are the Corbyns and there you have it.
Labour just as bad in every way although edging it in the hypocrisy stakes. Marcus rashford now being used by them for political gain. It's clever and incidious.
