Weeks ahead of that clown Johnson. Well done that man.
Johnson OUT.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Perhaps Drippy Drakers has to use the vernacular shot his sticky load prematurely. Only time will tell.

The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

Bojo....Drakers...can we really say either of them is worse. Wales did a lockdown first but England tried the tier system, that didn't work but we don't know if our firebreak has worked yet.
There was an "expert" from Oxford Uni on who said the firebreaks/lockdowns don't solve anything, they just pause it. Once they end things go back to where they were.

That's food for thought. As long as people still persist with this isn't as bad as they say, as long as people ignore the rules, don't distance, don't wear masks etc, this will keep getting worse.
Yet again an expert said the virus was spread most in schools and Uni's and the workplace so maybe we need to look there for something that changes the course of this thing? Maybe kids should be at home doing onlne learning where possible, we have zoom, teams, other online resources. Workplaces need to be better at distancing. I know of a workplace canteen where staff, who during work were wearing PPE but during break were pulling tables together and sitting in groups. Surprise surprise someone had the virus and several others caught it. Please don't ask me to name it because I won't.
If, as it looks, this virus is still spreading quickly no matter what we do, do we need to just accept it and keep on going without lockdowns? Or do we look for a better way? Right now there's hardly a country (where the virus is a large presence) that has found a way. Those countries that got on top of it early are doing ok, the rest of us seem to have made our beds and now we have to live with it.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

It's not difficult. There is no other option available that will slow the spread, other than lockdown(s).

Test and Trace is a complete and utter shambles (even though the vile Tory said is was world beating).

By working, it WILL slow down the spread, how much it will slow it down will depend on the boneheads who ignore the controls.

Without them, we run out of critical care beds, then whatever reason you may need one for, be it covid, heart, accidents etc, tough luck you're dying in the corridors, at home etc etc.

You haven't disturbed anything, I enjoyed the football mind.

I am on record several times as saying we need longer lockdowns. Lets see what this 2 weeks has done. Sometimes though I do a bit of devils advocacy and ask questions from the other point of view.
Amongst other things I still believe a longer lockdown, a whole Uk lockdown is what is needed. And yes, we need to grab the nuggets who break the rules and give them a proper punishment though we aren't allowed the birch anymore!

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

Listening to Boris’s briefing and seeing the stats which the BBC produced, I’d say Drakeford called it correctly.

What was concerning was listening to the BBC correspondent who said the Governments hand had been forced by leaks, had that not been the case they’d have held off until later in the week. Time is of the essence FFS.

It still would have happened on next Thursday (english lockdown), but his announcement wasn't due to go ahead until this Monday. That's what they meant.

Sunetra Gupta. Don’ t look at scientists talking about her on Twitter Cat. It is not pretty. Basically she has an outlier idea which has no real basis in infection or immunology. It’s basically BS and what she said earlier in the year has been shown to be.

Test and trace in England it is a shambles with only 56% of people being traced, in Wales that number is 96%

Trust me, I've had enough dealings with them the past couple of months to know.

Funny you should make a comparison between Wales and England, we had two employees test positive on the same day, one based in Bristol, one based in NPT. Test and Trace contacted the contacts of the Bristol employee within 20 hours. In NPT it was five days.
