There’s a singular reference where they use the term “fuzzy wuzzies” to describe Sudanese people. This term comes from a Mr Kipling poem where a soldier is full of praise and respect for them, their fighting prowess and bravery during the Mahdist war.
They also refer to the french as frogs. I imagine this would have been common language during World War Two although it’s true that Dads Army is in no way meant to be a totally accurate historical documentary.
