Swans ready to do business : Transfer latest as signings are ready to come in 31st Jan 2021 09:00
Swansea City are negotiating at least three contracts in a bid to get more players in for their promotion push. Another dogged display by the swans beating Rotherham 3-1 in Yorkshire yesterday has ensured Julian Winter CEO has the green light to make at least two, maybe three signings in the next 36 hours or so. 1

Nowhere near the pace of Garrick but technically better (touch, technique etc) is what I’m guessing.

It’s an odd one I’ve got to admit. Richy getting pelters on this thread but the lightweight nature of the kid is an issue for me. Needs bulking, which can be done of course.

11 seconds in boots on grass over 100 metres puts Garrick in Johnny postman category.
But Whittaker is not far behind.

He is a quality player, but I’m uncertain he would be an automatic choice every game, or if he is, who drops down ?

I think he’s better than Hourihane (not much in it but fits this system like a glove so it would be a three way rotation between Grimes , Fulton and Smith

Each time I go to Bedd - au........................

Can’t fault Hourihane and his commitment but over the past two games he does seem to go quiet for periods, I’m sure that not helping our usual midfield grit.

Hourihane is probably rusty, not played much this season so he's still getting up to speed. Bit like Korey Smith at the beginning of the season, took him a good 10 games to get going. Hourihane is ahead of the curve I reckon.

Interesting article Keith - clearly our league position & chance of going up generates a wider range of options both for us & the linked players.

Suspect Whittaker is a combination of Cullen cover & one for the future pending Ayew’s departure in the summer & Morris’s potential return to the States. Arriola still looks like a fall back option to me but noting geographic & Covid distractions suspect we need to make a final call on that by cob today.

Whilst I’d like to see MGW back I can only see that as a loan option, maybe with a buy option in the summer if we were to go up.

Still think we need RWB cover, if Robert’s got injured our current system would be very one-sided.

Not linked currently but Joey Allen is down to his last 17 months on contract & Stoke are going nowhere this season - maybe one for the summer.

Jordan Garrick is RWB cover. It is unclear whether he will be staying at the club . He did well on his FA cup v Stevenages but Roberts got back in for Nottingham Forest preventing him getting game time. No news on a contract extension. Perhaps he wants to go back up north. He looked physically much stronger to me and is much faster than Roberts.

Wise sage since Toshack era

Blaine
Have no far about any pelters coming my way.
Those who simply tolerate differing opinions,to me,are puerile and pitiful so I actually really feel for them.

WHY do we seem to collect small players who need to bulk up. If we were to go up,we would simply not be able to cope physically.People not seeing this are either stuck up Cooper's jacksie or simply acting the jerk-which is fine by me.

I really do worry about people sometimes as they seem to be crippled inside.

Someone on another forum saying there's reports of Harry Wilson being recalled by Liverpool and we are interested in swooping in.

I can't find any such reports. Complete nonsense?

I popped on there earlier, there’s zero rumours of that anywhere on social media so think it’s just someone playing funny buggers.

Edit - not that social media rumours are reliable, but posters said rumours are circulating. I can’t see any at all, anywhere.
