vaccination appountments 21:09 - Feb 8 with 1808 viewsexhmrc1

I have just read the article from BBC Wales news below.

People aged over 70, or in high priority groups, had been urged not to call their GPs or health board for an appointment, with letters being sent to households.

But health boards in Wales have now put out messages urging those in the top priority groups - over 70s, those classed as "extremely clinically vulnerable", and any NHS or social care workers - who have not been contacted to get in touch.

I have posted so if anybody has been missed they can take appropriate action.

No we don't test unless there are symptoms. heaven't done since the beginning.

I'm sorry but we do and have for a long time, pre Xmas in fact and that includes 3 of my grandkids who had no symptoms but due to circumstances were told to to test , myself twice again with no symptoms

Hospital staff don't even get that privilege, so don't know where you get this from.Contacts are told to isolate they don't get tested automatically

University students were given access to tests without being symptomatic, but in Wales at this time (and the 2 other devolved nations) there is no general testing regime for the non symptomatic. I know of 1 organisation where intelligence led testing has taken place in response to a particular issue, but generally it’s restricted to people who have symptoms.

England is rolling out testing for people without symptoms, but it’s mainly available in from schools, Uni’s, local Councils and some workplaces. They use the 30 minute kits.

Going back to the earlier posts, Boris has done a good job with the vaccinations, but he’s performed poorly in other areas. Having fines is great, but there comes a time when fines are inappropriate or insufficient as a punishment and there needs to be the real deterrent of jail time, that’s not an option open to the police for lots of these Covid breaches. This latest malarky with quarantine, Do they honestly think the pop stars and influencers give a monkeys about a £10k fine for breaching quarantine when they ignore rules to hold private birthday parties etc. It’s small change to these types. People breaching the rules most of us have regard for need to know there’s B&B at HM’s pleasure waiting for them if the mess about.
