Unfortunately not true Wales infection rates for the last 9 days were higher than England, only today have they fallen below England.
NI infection rates have been higher than England for even longer and are still higher.
Scotland's has also been higher and have only been lower for the last two days.
Does no-one in the Welsh media ever challenge him when he makes incorrect statements to justify his U-turn

Alternatively the nuances between the nations have not had a significant effect on a respiratory virus. The ONS survey was for the week ending 6th January already a week out of date . 7 day rolling infection rates show Wales had more infections per head of population than England since 1st of January only fell below England's today. I think the actual cases based on over 1,500,000 million tests per day is likely to be more statistically accurate than the small number of random test the ONS do daily.
Both figures give useful data to make an informed decision trouble is politicians tend to pick the one that suits their narrative. | |
