Paris. Rome is apparently fruggy, expensive and full of tat, so my sister reckoned.

Never been to Paris and by what ive heard about it I don't want to go.

Alcudia , went there a few yrs ago, apart from the Hotel Astoria and the Hotel right on the Harbour which were both fabulous, the place itself was very disappointing [Post edited 13 May 2021 23:19]

Back in the day, I went on a Ferris bus holiday to Calella, I think it cost £179 full board. I didn’t expect a great deal and I wasn’t let down, resort wasn’t great and the hotel was a dive.

I agree about Alcudia. What a let down.The beach looks nice on pictures, but it was windy and I just didn't like it. The restaurants were expensive too. The town itself is nice, but the port area was a let down. | | | |

Pembrokeshire has a coastal national park and Cornwall doesn't for a reason.
The only thing that Cornwall has that Pembs doesn't is an awful lot of tourists. | | | |

I prefer the Gower but then it isn't a break/holiday plus it has a city where you can get to easily for things.
Rome is an amazing place and even more so if you enjoy the history and architecture spectacle. Yes it is a bit grubby and is full of Italians (scoff) but there are great little restaurants dotted around the centre that really don't cost the earth.
A lot of Spanish resorts may be uninspiring but they have catered the the needs of Joe public so what can we reasonably expect. Incredible places to visit in Spain and if you like history then Alhambra must be on your to do list. |  |

I’d say the same but they do have St Ives though which is lovely. I prefer Gower over Cornwall just because it’s condensed into a lovely neat bite sized package. | |
