| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Well,he was very well known but his passing is hardly reported at all. That Ipswich side was stella and a small town club trashing the big boys.

Ipswich were better than Villa, which proves that the best team over the course of the season will not always finish top. And to think Villa won the European cup the following season, what might have been for Ipswich. [Post edited 10 Jul 2021 15:11]

I had a soft spot for Ipswich back then, maybe because they are much like us, a small club out in the sticks? Not that Ipswich is/was anything like Swansea, when I went there it was like a ghost town, hardly anybody around. We walked all the way around the ground no one said a word, not what I was used to back then.

Ipswich had fallen into the Leeds trap of previous years of fighting on many fronts and ending up as bridesmaids. On checking Ipswich beat Villa home and away and beat Villa in the 100th edition of the FA Cup, Ipswich lost in extra time in the semi finals and went a long way in the League Cup and won the UEFA cup, Villa done Porthcawl in comparison just beat the lesser teams in the league (they even lost to the 3rd place team), don't let anyone ever tell you the league table doesn't lie because on occasion it does.

One of the finest games I've ever seen was when we did them in an amazing attacking game up there in 1981. incredible stuff. Curt outshone everyone.

35 goals in 87 games for Swans says you have a very valid point Keith .. unfashionable Swansea City ..
