| Hourihane to leave Villa, would you have him back ? 01:46 - Jul 17 with 1803 views | KeithHaynes | It seems almost certain he is on his way out of Villa Park, but can he offer the swans something else for the coming season ? | |

I did, however, scream at him a few times in his games for us but I screamed a lot more at other players. Is it because we expected more from him?

Excellent for whom exactly ? his reputation preceded him he but he certainly didn't live up to it whilst playing for us .

| Hourihane to leave Villa, would you have him back ? on 09:40 - Jul 19 with 480 views | Dr_Winston | He's delivered everywhere he's played except here, so the efforts to paint him as some hapless chancer are a bit odd but not really unexpected. Always going to be up against it as a creative midfielder in a Cooper team but did himself few favours in the end. Perhaps the right player at the wrong time in the wrong system. | |
| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

Please, please, please. If we played a system and a methodology of football that allowed him to sit behind a striker and not to anything then maybe. But I cannot watch him again.

That's how I see it but if people have made their minds up! As I said, I think he is an excellent player and he showed that at times with us. He was also invisible a number of times. He had a great relationship with Grimes who , incidentally scored the same amount of goals as Hourihane in double the games and two of those were against Forest in the cup. I understand why people have made so many negative comments about him but as Wnston says, he delivered everywhere else.

| Hourihane to leave Villa, would you have him back ? on 19:30 - Jul 18 by KeithHaynes | This is why a loan for a young player to a club like ours is priceless, and when Hourihane comes in he displays complete professionalism and dedication which in turn rubs off on everyone else, especially kids. That aside, his loan went sour, but ninety minutes is generally all we see, there’s much more to it than that for sure. |
And then destroys it all on the field during the Games by teaching them to not tackle, not block, not chase and swan aroung like a prima donna. No thanks.

Or too old and crocked to actually put in a 90 minute shift as is required in the Championship. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

I agree maybe the "system" didn't suit him but the bare minimum regardless is you don't allow the opposition player to stroll past you or become anonymous for 70 minutes in a match , repeatedly

Really did look as if his legs had gone. Couldn't keep up with the pace of the Championship over 20 minutes let alone 90. Very little "obvious talent" on display.
