Eustace given permission to talk to Swansea last week. on 16:29 - Jul 22 with 2573 views | ReslovenSwan1 | I presume that Cooper was kept on until all the obstacles in appointing Eustace or who ever were agreed in principle. A little bit of time for back and forth with QPR and compo, and the status of Tate and Margetson etc and any staff Eustace wanted to bring. It all looks rather smooth to me.

Well he's not here yet..... And we're just over a fortnight away from the season and such events are hampering the club's recruitment. Smooth isn't what I'd label it as personally.

Rumours, and that’s just what they are is he has already met and spoken to the new manager. Those two weeks he didn’t have to spend at the club will definitely be positive this season.

What do you mean by that Keith? Have these two weeks been rather unsavoury internally?

If the info is right I see it as a big positive, fair play to cooper, he didn’t have to hang around.

. Giving Eustace the job after Cooper would be akin to giving a teaching assistant the job of Headmaster. After the Headmaster exceeded all expectations year on year and wasn't given the pay rise he deserved or expected. .

Ummm, no, Eustace has more experience than Cooper did when we gave him the job. Cooper had only managed kids. Cooper was closer to teaching asistant than Headmaster. That would make Eustace akin to being deputy head of year.

. You may have missed the point spectacularly Cat. And shot yourself badly in the foot. The point was Cooper is the Headmaster. Eustace is the teaching assistant. Right now. And from what you say Eustace (with all his alleged superior experience) will be expected to trounce Cooper's massive achievements. No pressure then. Eustace for the autos it is. According to some bizarre twist of logic (and 'fact'). .

Eustace is in the process of agreeing to develop a clutch of talented 19-22 year olds with limited senior experience into a compelling competitive team. This is a challenge Mr Cooper has declined. Cooper calls this task an unappealing 'direction of travel'. Cooper has not en acted his own philosophy of weaning off the development of other teams young players. like Guehi and Woodman. He quit when the going got a little more demanding on his coaching skills. As a cook he wanted ready made meals not one where he had to mix the ingredients himself.

Do you have a link for where Cooper has stated this "direction of travel" line? Or are you making stuff up again? Didn't you state in another post that it wasn't a good idea for Cooper to defy Winter words to that affect!? [Post edited 23 Jul 2021 0:16]

he is out to discredit Cooper . his paymasters have got him trying to deflect us from discussing their incompetence in the handling of this affair and leaving bus with no manager 15 days before start of season

Don’t forget that Eustace appears to be touting himself out, as well as QPR not putting up a fight to keep him meaning they probably wanted him out for weeks....

You never thought I’d use a smiley? I use them quite often, it usually shows the meaning behind the words typed. On this occasion it was representing slight mischief so the irony and sarcasm wasn’t missed. I haven’t taken anything personally. I am just highlighting the clear and obvious double standards that goes on with Cooper. Same when Palace appointed Viera, turns out that was a good appointment... as opposed to “viera forever being known as 6th choice” or “lacking integrity knowing they preferred others” etc etc Remember we talked about intentional linguistics when it comes to framing things? Well this is it. [Post edited 23 Jul 2021 7:09]

Yes exactly. It's that poster's default setting. Americans and their direct employ = completely infallible. Everyone else = open to criticism and often used to deflect heat.
