That reason being Cooper kept picking the same players regardless. He kept picking Hourihane despite his being a complete liability.
Is that the game now, criticise the previous manger for a lot of things but then criticise the players he rarely used for being rusty and needing time to adjust? |

You're entitled to your opinion obviously. I just think judging any of them based on 4 days wit the new manager, specially those who hardly played last season, is a bit harsh.
Maybe Latty will turn out to be rubbish and get dropped/sold or maybe he'll turn out to be good, I'm waiting to see how things develop before I judge is all. |  |

People talk about some of our defenders as if their ability on the ball was parks level. That all they can do is punt and hope. This isn't the 80's. You don't get to the level they have unless you can play a bit. What we're seeing is the natural uncertainty that goes with completely revising the way we play back there. It will take time, but they'll adjust.
The biggest issue we had with playing out from the back on Saturday was the lack of options they had to pass to. Too often it was only Grimes dropping deep for the ball, but again that will come with time. |  |
