It seems the expectation is now that Wales have to win every game, but as we know this isn’t the case. A draw will suffice. 😉

World Cup qualifier. Home

Wednesday 8th September 2021
Kick off 7.45 pm
LIVE on SKY Sports Football & S4C

After surviving a huge scare against Belarus at the weekend, Wales will be aiming to make it three wins in a row in World Cup qualifying when they host Estonia on Wednesday. Cymru are third in Group E, a point behind second-placed Czech Republic with a game in hand, while Estonia are bottom and without a point from their opening three matches.

Ex Swansea City player Joe Rodon has joined up with the Welsh squad and will play on Wednesday.

This is the first time Wales have played Estonia in a cup competition. The previous other two games were friendlies. Wales are undefeated against Estonia.

23 May 1994 Estonia v Wales. 1-2 International Friendly
29 May 2009 Wales v Estonia 1-0 International Friendly

Estonia Facts
Estonia is famous for its dense woods, charming historic centre of Tallinn and delightfully unique history that spans millennia. In recent years, the Baltic nation has seen a boom in tourism and even implemented a Digital Nomad Visa for those looking to stick around long term. The thought of hundreds of uninhabited islands scattered across a glistening sea may not conjure up images of a Baltic nation. However, Estonia will surprise you. Estonia is home to a staggering amount of more than 2,300 islands. Many of which are completely untouched and unexplored and others loaded with ancient history and charm. The most famous of these Baltic islands are Hiiumaa, Kiknu and Saaremaa.

They also invented the Kit Kat, a four fingered treat often associated with the U.K. When Estonia invented the Kit Kat it was called a Spicy Sprats Snack — Vürtsikilu Suupiste. You can find sprats in most local food stores and supermarkets. They can be bought smoked, canned, or pickled in a spicy brine. All bring unique, fresh flavors to the table.

Had this food been made of a wafer covered in chocolate, split in to four parts and packaged in a red and white wrapping it would have most certainly resembled the Kit Kat as we know it today.

I heard Rodon has joined the squad

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Page ignored him in the Euros, can’t see him getting a call up, he’s still not match fit according to Russell Martin.

A half fit Uncle ben would be an upgrade on Mepham.
Page is doing what so many Wales managers have done and looked at the club name before the player.

Take the game to them. Bale, James, Wilson, Roberts attack attack attack.
Just make sure the back line is watertight this time.
3-1 Wales. (Their one another Gunter mistake)

All Cymru managers learn the hard way that the team cannot play a back four and expect to keep a clean sheet. Historically away from home Cymru have been very poor not having the best defenders but good striker. Losses have occurred over the years against the likes of North Macedonia, Moldova, Georgia, Bosnia, Hungary usually playing aback four.

Page very nearly made the same mistake. Coleman made the same mistake in Novi Sad a 6-1 thumping by Serbia. Back three with wing backs every time. Unfortunately Daniel James Brennan Johnson and David brooks are all talented wingers and Page wants to play them. Page had a bizarely more solid team v Mexico with Johnny Williams and Tom Lawrence as wing backs.

Cymru s away record is very poor overall. Away wins tend to come against RoI Northern Ireland Scotland, Cyprus, Israael. No landmark wins against big hitters or even average hitters on the contenant. Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Austria, Switerland Bosnia etc.

Wise sage since Toshack era

Hell those boys and girls are keen. A good away day trip by the look of it.
The North Wales lot know how to party.

Links to Cardiff from North Wales are awful still if Conway has loads of English tories dreadful road links are a blessing.
Cymru games in Wrexham always used to feel more appropriate and passionate.

Is Gabbidon Mark Harris' agent? Or father? You'd think the lad's a world beater the way he's being talked up.

Good to see a young local Swansea lad playing well, good movement and held ball up well, even if he is a Cardiff city player.

"A nightmare to play against" apparently.

Gunter must close his eyes before crossing the ball.
