Rhys Williams to decide his own future at Swansea 15:32 - Nov 30 with 1372 viewsKeithHaynes

Could be recalled if Nat Phillips gets transferred.
Could be recalled if Liverpool get an offer in excess of 5M.

If neither happens, it’s down to him if he wants to stay at Swansea.
Or of course if RM wants him to go back, pretty sure he will, then he’s off.

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

Interesting comment concerning RM. Is he only selecting RW because he is under pressure to do so?

Personally I would say not, had Cabango been fit on Saturday williams would not have played.

Swans dropped a massive bollok in not following up their chase for Phillips last January.

Oh yeah, great, how many times has he been MOTM in a Champions League game, Philipps first game at that level and he was MOTM, he's had at least another one, plus a few in other games, he's class and still very young for a CB.

He'd have shone down here, IMO

Let’s all hope for his own good that his foresight and decision making has improved since last Saturday then.

Bang on.

' Or of course if RM wants him to go back, pretty sure he will, then he’s off. '

It seems you're right again, apparently nailed on unwanted by Martin and returning, asap.

From the sunny microclimate of the Costa del Swansea Bay, to the harsh northern cold Winters of discontent. Allegedly........

It's a shame we didn't get the best out of Rhys. The way in which we continually have over the past two seasons when Coops attracted so many Top top level young loans. Rhys to Forest is a current rumour, for that very reason......

What bothers me is Rhys looks totally out of hi depth with us.
He has taken the field with far greater opposition that that which he has faced with us.
Suppose being played out of position doesn't help.

You're right. He looked a rolls royce, albeit a tad vulnerable, playing at the heart of Liverpool's defence in top, top level matches. A proper player, in a proper system.

The vast majority of new managers spend the first chapter making the best of the resources they inherit, playing to the strengths of the resources at hand. And then building.

My concern is that Martin is egotistically baulking this model, demanding investment and hapless Winter is the gullible, fickle CEO, praying for a miracle cos he ousted Cooper (not his man, a Trevor Birch man).

Check out the winning revolution at MKDons with their sensible, pragmatic young manager........

We disagree on several matters mainly Grimes and Cooper but its nice to have a chum when all are against you and it feels that way on here sometimes.

Still,no need for the hate shite you and dwight get.

It's OUR club and we want to to go forward. IMO Martinis and will take us into oblivion unless he is stopped or he changes his attitude.

A tough decision for sure.

Risk another 6 months in Swansea where you will likely continue to look grossly out of depth in the second tier and risk sliding down to League 1 or worse when your contract at Liverpool expires, or;

Return to Liverpool, play a number of comfortable matches with their U23s and hope for the occasional cameo in the first team alongside elite, world class defenders. Who, hopefully, can make you look a better player than you actually are (as what happened last season) before being offered a contract in the second tier.

If I were him, I'd return. He's harming his future prospects by staying with us.

Liverpool will cash in for me. While they can. If they can.

However, would anyone take him on a free ?

Agreed.

As to take him on a free, yes, why not give it a punt.
