Swansea fans would regularly boo their players and manager at the final (and sometimes half time) whistle despite actively fighting for automatic promotion.

We're not in a position to criticise other fans.

None of which I’ve seen tonight.

They're protesting perceived mismanagement by their owners.

I'm sure we did similar a year or two ago. Millwall at home I believe.

I'm not sure what that has to do with what we're talking about.

Everton fans are protesting their owner spending half a billion English pounds on rubbish football players and not taking them into the Champions League. I don't think they're collecting pennies in buckets to pay the players' wages.

Protesting at having massive money spent on them and being pretty much a fixture in the top 8 of the EPL.

Yeah, a bit childish really. They are not a massive club, how much do they really expect given the way modern football has gone? If you can't get 50k people in and can't afford to spend massive amounts in any season you won't buy the success. Having a billionaire owner who pours money in always helps. Otherwise even massive clubs can end up with uncontrollable debt in the pursuit of glory, like Barcelona.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

I agree. My point is that Swansea City supporters protested for similar reasons back in 2019.

We had a playing squad and wage budget far in excess of what our means could afford. Yet, when management tried to address this and ensure we weren't running the club at a massive loss to chase our carrot, there were protests.

I see no reason why our supporters can criticise Everton's, when we have engaged in similarly brain-dead protests in recent years.

One of the points Everton fans raise is the amount of money wasting including the 45 million paidfor Siggi.

Our bone of contention is to ask just what really did happen to that money, and then the Bony money, the Rodon money, the James money. Is it all a black hole? We have made masive money and frittered it away and THAT is what should make us angry.

We are looking at journeymen, dregs, waifs and sgtrays now coupled with loans of kids from big name clubs and we simply accept this without a murmur preferring to slag off each other at the first opportunity.

We should be be united and our anger should be aimed at those who killed our dreams.

BTW,this court case that was /is due any day now;the one which will see justice/reparation ,the one thing that really got us angry.

They are not massive though, not in the same bracket as manyoo, Real Madrid, Bayern, Barca. They are a big club but not as big as Chelsea, Spurs or Arsenal and how much success are the last two having. We've won a trophy more recently than Spurs!

I’ll tell you why because people on here, Keith included, Phil on the other site and not many others kick started the saving of our club, organised TV, radio press briefings, staged protests, meetings across the U.K. and in some cases put EVERYTHING on the line so you could follow this club today. To state they have no right to criticise that pile of crap last night that was meant to show solidarity is laughable. They are the epitome of modern football laziness. Name check Richard Lillycrap, the United swans protests, honestly your credibility is shot. Nobody sat on their backsides then, that’s his point, protests my arse. Everton ? Joke.

The media still references their actions today. To state what you did was completely disrespectful, and I’ll wait for you to twist it as you like.

OK I've changed it.

Where have I criticised the actions taken by Swansea supporters during the Petty situation which you're referencing? I did no such thing. I criticised the protests in 2019.

Perhaps read posts twice before commenting if you're incapable of comprehending them properly the first time.

The accounts are public. You can see where the money went.

Not only are the accounts public, the legal work between Swansea City and Manchester City surrounding Bony's transfer was leaked online years ago. You can what happened.

So many still think we received £35m for Bony because they saw that number on Sky Sports News. We saw nothing close to that.

The mismanagement by those here before the Americans took over is disgusting. Yet when people did try to raise that issue, whether online or at the stadium, they were viciously abused. I recall one gentleman putting up an anti Jenkins banner who was subsequently booed and escorted out of the stadium for his own safety.

It is very sad.

We regularly loaned players in the premier league, in fact we have done it like all clubs for years and years. I don’t see Ntcham, Piroe, Downes, Paterson, even Obafemi or Laird as fitting the criteria you mention. They are very positive signings. We have two loan players. If Paterson is a journeyman, waif or stray I’m up for more of the kind.

Looking at the premier league loans, Abraham, Renny Renato and countless others were flops.
The players we loan now in the majority have been successful bar Williams this season.

Remember Borini, Sinclair, instrumental in getting us to the premier league.

The only slagging off I see in here is when the manager slips up a few times after beating Cardiff City handsomely, Peterborough and WBA. Twenty one games he has had, some were slating him after five games. It’s hardly sensible and clearly for some it sucks the life out of them. Because it’s every day, in every thread.

Your last paragraph is very pertinent and nobody can have any illusions now .
You say all opinions are welcome and they should be.
You pre match Reading thread was incredible ,to me,for all the wrong reasons.

You either accept ALL opinions or you don't.

In the vaccination threads ,far more contentious, worth of derision and contempt are posted with impunity when the results of such warped thinking is literally lethal.

This is about bluddy football after all and we all know there are far more significant matters that should get us angry, upset and worried.

Everton,by the way,ARE a massive club.

As I said I didn’t think you got the Reading thread.
All opinions are welcome, but the constant negativity towards every thing the manager does, and absolutely no recognition of his positives does get tiring for some. You have to accept that as much as other views have to be accepted.

As for Everton, I didn’t say they were not.

The context of the OP was twisted to undermine the swans support. And then twisted again to suit. But as I said all opinions are welcome. Just because somebody doesn’t agree with you doesn’t mean you are not accepted. It just means they don’t agree with you.
