It really winds me up when we brilliantly beat the press, take 6 of their players out of the game, have their defence back pedalling then slow it down and go back again giving the opposition time to reorganise. It must happen ten times a game. |

If Martin sends a team out and make obvious errors,say first half,then his half time team talk should address the said errors .
It’s the same with tactics. If they are wrong,adapt. Pointless losing games just because of a template that has to be adhered to. It is all about winning games.

It’s obviously a bit of both. Kristian o Leary mentioned it a lot on Saturday about players making the wrong decision. Nobody on the sidelines can control what a player does in that moment but then if they are training all week just to keep the ball it becomes second nature.

What amazes me is what is going on in traininig apart from brainwashing the players into the useless tactics.
We are conceding goals at set pieces for fun and cannot convert chances from our set pieces
7 months into his tenure and all Martin has achieved is to get up top of the possession table
Lets stop blaming players shall we though yes the experienced ones should spot this but yet again we have no real leadership on the pitch as wekk as on the sidelines | |

I can understand them not marking him tightly if he’s beyond the far post. The two who went to challenge him were held back by another player and this blocked cabango too. It was clearly a foul and if VAR was in play it wouldn’t have stood. And without the foul it would have been dealt with and he wouldn’t have had a free unopposed header.

I suppose it could be argued that had they not scored it may have been a different game.
However I didn't have the feeling we would have scored anyway, where as had they been forced to attack a bit more they may have scored two or three ?
I think the foul is a legitimate excuse to cover up poor defending and a very disappointing performance |  |

That's where I am at the moment I think.
His tactics are horrific, even if he was given the job of managing Man City and he adopted these tactics, they would have no chance of winning the league and would probably have their lowest league finish since the money came into them.
No width, slow passing around the back, no long or direct balls. It would be painful to watch the Man City fan's reaction.
Although player power would no doubt have it's way and force him out within weeks.
We play nothing like Man City, we play nothing like anyone I have ever seen. They aren't good tactics, they are terrible and completely flawed.
Having a possession based game doesn't mean it's the same as other clubs' possession based games. They come in a variety of examples, this is by far the worst one I have ever seen, and am sure am ever likely to see. It literally makes no sense. |  |

The club have brought in several new players this season, in fact I would say the most for many a year. I know we lost players but a lot of them were nowhere near the 1st team. How many more does he need to play this boring, mind numbing football.
