Theyre also not bothering to send the Ukrainians the weapons they promised. Apparently shipments are "bogged down in bureaucracy".

They are morally bankrupt.
Absurd people.

Ukraine is desperate to join the EU.

EU been heroic on treatment of refugees.

EU strength has come through and led on Ukraine, which has allowed the US to be more discreet thus avoiding the madness of escalation.?

Merkel f*cked up big style. In a number of areas, but particularly this one.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Looks like , just as worryingly is the fact that "some hoped that by June the EU would have found enough alternative sources of energy to seriously consider an oil embargo" . By June how many more thousands will have died and cities destroyed .

Ukraine being "desperate" was part of the reason Putin gave for invading you steaming great Hurkeler!

The Eu hasn't led on anything. The neighbouring countries led on refugees with Poland taking millions and in fact, the EU members were very slow to support Ukraine with Materiel whereas the UK was way out in front of them and we remain so given their beaurocratic torpor.

Why would the EU invite Johnson to an EU meeting? They last thing they want is to acknowledge the elected leader of the country that left, it's just more EU self indulgence. Never mind what the best thing for Ukraine is, lets just snub the UK.

Has the USA been discreet, Biden called Putin a war criminal, not much discreet in that.

Here is 'Ukrainian Minister Of Defense' praising the U.K, and Ben Wallace 'Conservative/British Minister of Defense'. The Ukrainian Minister Of Defense is showing obvious disgust there for other countries however, I guess he must feel extremely let down by other countries that must have made promises with nothing in return!

I can see Union Jacks but no European flags of 'dominant/long standing' EU members in that Tweet. No EU flag either!

Even the EU has admitted that the UK has acted quicker than the EU with a nibble UK able to order vaccines and start vaccinating quicker than the EU

They also stated the UK was quicker to impose sanction on Russia than the EU and was Quicker to supply vital defensive armaments quicker than the EU as the EU had to get agreement from all its 27 members first.

Leading members of the EU such as France still have companies operating with Russia Major French retailers such as Auchan, Leroy Merlin and sports group Decathlon haven't followed the boycott of Russia with the French energy giant Total Energies, formerly known as Total, saying it will continue to buy Russian gas but will stop purchasing Russian oil and petroleum products by the end of this year " then we have Macron the midget criticising the UK's response , one of which has been a leading example to the EU member states

I did ask the question (as Catullus) but it's worth asking them again, those people who thought Russia would beat the USA in a conventional war, do you still believe that?

The evidence says absolutely not. Even Putin must see it, his only strong card is his nuclear weapons.

Largely Conscript/volunteer armies only work effectively when there’s something worth fighting for. Most of these lads don’t want to be there, a lot will have Ukrainian families and friends. They don’t even get paid a decent wage. We’ve seen it before in so many conflicts. It’s tragic.

In fairness only a few oddballs on here thought Russia was a threat to NATO in conventional warfare. They were perhaps a bit wrong footed by the US/UK struggles in Iraq and Afghanistan. Two vastly different scenarios to open warfare.

The warship masquerading as an active volcano a few years ago should have been enough of a hint to the contrary. Technologically the West is miles ahead of them, and also still ahead of the Chinese, no matter how much they've spent recently. A non-Nuclear conflict would be over very quickly.

It irrelevant if the average Russian soldier is poorly trained and motivated, because they still have lots of lots of sophisticated weapons and seem to be prepared to take large amounts of casualties.
There’s no way Ukraine will beat them

Russia lost 15,000 dead and many more injured during their failed foray into Afghanistan and that was over 14 years duration , military intelligence puts the current losses as nearly that much after a month, no Army including Russia can continue to sustain those losses or equipment at the current rate , They're not prepared to see such losses other wise why are so many surrendering . The difference between the Ukrainians and Ivan is they're fighting for a cause , conscripts aren't

You deluded fool. They have a few of each of their touted Tier1 sophisticated weapons. Mind you, you are a weapon grade fool so its no surprise you still believe that.
