Not just HRW...
"International Criminal Court Sends ‘Largest-Ever’ Investigative Team to Ukraine"
Yep, there's loads of independent outlets recording the crimes against civilians .Maybe they're all in cahoots and its a conspiracy by the west to blacken Putin's name and reputation .

No, I'm sure there is a random journalist with facts disproving this...even if it is only them that aware of said "facts".

That’s brilliant. The NYT are in the Donbas then? No they’re not. Hearsay from lazy biased western journalists spouting Washingtons propaganda.
If you doubt what the UN is saying that’s not my problem. I’m pretty sure the 400 foreign fighters including the 50 French officers will be revealed to the world before long. Fatter they’ve received their humane medical treatment first though.
It’s great the Mariupol can now revert back to what it always was - a Russian city. Odessa next.

It's doing a great job of reverting to the dust it was in prehistory thanks to Russia. What a stupid post.

Okay let’s have a look at the recent past in Ukraine - who their icons are and what those icons represented in WW2 . Note the statements by Bandera, Roman Shukheviec and Yaroslav Stetsko regarding the Jews in Ukraine, the non Ukrainians and their desire to be free from Muscovite control.
Think this is irrelevant? Wrong - these are the spiritual fathers of not only the Azov regiment (before the invasion an organization labelled terrorist by the U.S. government as well as dozens of others) but these “heroes” are firmly embedded in the Ukrainian psyche.
I’m totally amazed at Poland being so supportive of Ukraine and it’s continuing Nazi elements considering how many of its own citizens were butchered by the OUN in Western Ukraine in WW2.
Though I suppose western money and arms (or rather arms debt) keeps countries like Poland and others in line with its hatred of all things Russian.
If you’re backing the Ukrainians over the Russians despite their 8 year bombardment on Donbas (killing thousands of ethnic Russians AND Ukrainians) and despite their well known collaboration with the invading German Nazi forces in the extermination of Jews, Poles and others then my friend take your judgement of me and apply it to yourself (and by extension yourselves).
If the Russians had surrendered ;and not taken the millions of losses that they did in WW2, diverting Hitler away from an open goal German invasion of the United Kingdom quite a few of us might not exist to be having this “conversation”. Think on and think hard.

Mariupol wasn’t always a Russian city. Odessa was originally Greek ffs. Where do you get this stuff from?

So Moscow reverts to Ukraine (Founded by Kyiv Rus)...and Ukraine becomes part of greater Sweden - As the Rus were Swedish Vikings.
Glad we sorted that
BTW I always thought you were just an old school socialist. I now realise you are just a bitter Tankie.

"The Rus' people (Old East Slavic: РѹÑÑŒ; Modern Belarusian, Russian, Rusyn, and Ukrainian: РуÑÑŒ, romanised: Rus'; Old Norse: Garðar; Greek: Ῥῶς, romanised: Rhos) were an ethnos in early medieval eastern Europe. The scholarly consensus holds that they were originally Norse people, mainly originating from present-day Sweden, settling and ruling along the river-routes between the Baltic and the Black Seas from around the 8th to 11th centuries AD. They formed a state known in modern historiography as Kievan Rus', which was initially a multiethnic society where the ruling Norsemen merged and assimilated with Slavic, Baltic and Finnic tribes, ending up with Old East Slavic as their common language. The elite of Kievan Rus' was still familiar with Old Norse until their assimilation by the second half of the 11th century,[1] and in rural areas vestiges of Norse culture lingered as long as the 14th and early 15th centuries.[1]
The history of the Rus' is central to 9th through 10th-century state formation, and thus national origins, in eastern Europe. They ultimately gave their name to Russia and Belarus, and they are relevant to the national histories of Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. Because of this importance, there is a set of alternative so-called "Anti-Normanist" views that are largely confined to a minor group of East European scholars."

Well done - so the Russians and Ukrainians aren’t Slavs at all but are the remnants of old Norse (even though their language is Slavonic). Does this go for the Serbians, Macedonians and Bulgarians too?
Perhaps you should look at this Wikipedia page which far more accurately tells the story of the non compatmentalised history of the Slavic people (not the “Aryan” kind of mythology that Hitler and the Nazis drew upon for their ideal Germany). But that makes perfect sense when you see that the Ukrainians are drawing upon the same twisted history to maintain a “pure Ukraine”.

You said Mariupol had always been a Russian city. This is demonstrably false.
Looks like alll your assertions of the war are also demonstrably false - from the “non Neo Nazi “ Azov regiment to the numbers in Azovstal and their war crimes, the timing of their surrender and the Russian backed LPR and DPR’s progress in the Donbas. Never mind though, we all make mistakes.
Did I mention Azov and Aidar war crimes???

If you ask any Russian, Serb , Croatian, Macedonian what ethic group they belong to they are going to say they’re Slavs.
Have a nice day.
Ah the usual...Youve been proven wrong again and we switch from the history of Ukraine and the region to Slavs.
You ignored this bit on the Kievan Rus link

As ever you get caught lying/mirepresenting the facts and then you switch to misdirection or conflation when caught out.

The various tribes were beating the crap out of each other so bad in the end they actually invited the Vikings to come and take over as they were the only ones who could keep order.
The problem with the land that is now Ukraine is it has always been wedged between various superpowers. Whether it’s the ottomans or the Russians or the mongols or the Greeks or the Holy Roman Empire or nazi Germany and many more Ukraine has always inevitably been smack bang in the middle. I doubt there’s a land anywhere in the world that has been invaded and fought over more.
And here we are in 2022 a full century after the so called war to end all wars with the same cycle of wanton carnage wrapped up in the false disguise of “liberation”. Those poor people have suffered enough.

Russians and Ukrainians (or relabeled Russians since 1918) have always been Slavs . If they were ruled by Norse overlords once upon a time in the dim and distant past that’s doesn’t make them Norse. Slavonic and Nordic languages couldn’t be more different.
Meanwhile , back to the thread subject - how’s the war going for your guys?? Not too well by the looks of it despite the one tank they destroyed).
