This seasons away attendance averages in the championship : Report 14th May 2022 10:36
Swansea City average just over a thousand away fans per game in a league which has many ( if not the majority ) of clubs with far shorter distances to travel. That’s to be expected with Blackburn, Preston, Blackpool, Sheffield United, Barnsley and Huddersfield all within a very close proximity to each other. The swans figure is down three hundred on the last time travelling support was allowed. 0

A few years back there was a chart that placed teams according to the mileage travelled and we did very well on that despite other clubs sometimes taking 3x as many as us, that is entirely because we have a consistent away support that always has further to travel.

We apparently managed over 17k on average at home which is also very good considering the season as a whole.

This I found pretty interesting from Dave.

Middlesbrough fans would need to spend twenty four per cent of their weekly pay packet to enjoy a “full match day experience” at the Riverside Stadium, according Ticket Gum.
