Not sure we'd even compete with that if we sold Piroe for 20 tbh

You are most certainly right Huw.
I think we are hanging our hat on Parrott on loan.

A bidding war for Twine. Burnley the latest at north of £4m.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod.

I would be keeping my distance at those fees mentioned, think we could get 3 very good players in at around 2/3M.

Players like Twine could be the difference in getting promoted with his goalscoring and assist record from last year. Brentford were successful in poaching these type players from League One.

Even when you know, you never know?

Mk got him from Swindon only paid 300k far play to them on that one.
Same with Darling 300 k from Cambridge.

Got Oreilly from Fulham for next to nothing as well.
Can we sign their scout as well if we haven't already.

They think a lot of Liam Sweeting as well the DOF.
An upgrade on Winter.

He's had one good season in his career so far, so a bit of caution required here.

£3 million? That quite a gamble

You give it out, you take it back it`s all part of the game

We signed Piroe, Oba and Downes for a combined £4 million roughly. Combined worth now about £30 million ?

2 good seasons
scored a few the season before for Swindon as well.

League 1 player of the season last as well.

We won't be signing him at that price anyway.
I am a bit surprised at Burnley thought they were in trouble financially with the EFL wanting money repaid .

I find it hard to believe this player could go for 4 million and still there’s buff nuts on Twitter ( on a site I’m not allowed on ) 😂 who think six million is what we will get for Piroe.

To be fair Twine's been making headlines in English football for longer than Piroe has. He was scoring worldies every week at Newport, and has impressed with every step up since. They're the same age, and Twine is English which has always matters when it comes to fees.

Two million difference doesn’t cut it for me. Especially as Piroe is in the championship.

He's a hell of a player worth a punt for the Swans

God knows what he will finally end up going for, either way I'm glad we are not involved if the price is more than likely to hit £5m.
Piroe has a much better record at a higher level. Should be priced at the same mark as McBurnie minimum.

You have not taken into account the collapsed market for the likes of McBurnie. Those days have long gone i am afraid. Southampton wanted £6m for Obafemi 2 seasons ago and had no takers. Swansea got a paltry for Roberts.

Comparisons of recent sales will give you the right figure. Wilson £12m Neco Williams the same and these are real stars at Championship level. Even Mitrovic was not a fortune and he stood out a mile. The Portuguese guy from Fulham to Liverpool only £7m. Moore about £5m.

The £11m rising to £15m for Rodon was good work in hindsight. Kept Swansea out of trouble.

Wise sage since Toshack era
