Plenty of limited centre halves out there who are 10 years younger and earn 1/10th the wage. He's pretty average at this level. For a slow, old fashioned thump it clear centre half he's not particularly tall or brawny either, and has in his time with us shown strange lapses in concentration so it can't even be claimed he's a wise old fox. | | | |

The so called sell outs, sold to reasonably good owners. I give them credit for that. The Trust even now should be insisting on their recent settlement that any buyers taking on Swansea city use leveraged means would not be approved.
The Burnley sellers took hard cash that the club itself had to generate to pay them up front. Having 30% staying on board meant that the 30% did not want a leveraged buy out. |  |

Is he very good for this level? Im sure some teams that are going to play very direct will suit him, but he really isn't anymore than average.

Standing on the edge of your own box just heading and hoofing the ball away doesnt work for most teams nowadays.
Unless the team he goes to are absolutely desperate I could see him being on the bench wherever he ends up too. | |

Yes we do need some, but they've also got to be able to play, Ash and Monk were both pretty capable of playing in a possesion based team and neither were as slow as Bennett.
Would like to see us go to a back 4 this season and not playing Naughton, Manning, Latibaudiere etc in the middle. | |
