Joe is the obvious replacement for Downes.
What about Cole Stockton been linked with him before or Will Grigg for one of the other 2
With maybe Parrot on loan as well.
Personally I think we may as well bring a couple in early because it's nailed on that at least 2 of our big 3 players will be going.
That way at least we get the players we want and not a last minute signing to boost the numbers

Seen Kasamu mentioned a few times now.
Why do we need him are we not overstocked with defensive mids as it is.
We would have Grimes and Allen possibly Fulton as well if we can't shift him.
As regards Cole Stockton lots of clubs looking at him Sunderland Preston Portsmouth Bolton and surprisingly Stockport who must have some cash.
No idea if he us any good mind but both Grigg and Stockton made the league one team of the season along with Darling and Twine from our reserve side. [Post edited 28 Jun 2022 8:52]

It was all doom when Ayew and Lowe left but we improved goal-wise with Piroe and Obafemi.
Paterson was also above average for third highest scorer.
IMO the two failings last season were messing about with defensive personnel and not addressing the midfield. |  |
