When the Abolition Bill was being debated ,the alternative was to be whole life.
Had it not been,it probably wouldn’t have been passed then.

It was quite right to test the law on this case, and the defence would have been negligent had they not, this is how precedents are made and evolved but absolutely the correct decision to dismiss the appeal. The Judge that gave the original sentence was one of the most senior in the country, there is no doubt he would have consulted his fellow appeal Judges before passing sentence.
This was exactly why Whole Life Sentences were put in place. This can now be used for future similar cases without the need for appeal and will offer clarity to the law |  | | |

My point.
It is impossible to ascertain if a violent prisoner is no longer a threat to the public.It only takes one victim to compound the issue.It aint worth the life of any member of the public | |
