Speculation at Norwich this evening.

And I totally agree with them, the whole game plan was flawed and made worse by players who know nothing more than to take the safest pass when a decent chance to attack is available. It’s been drilled in to them and they know if they do that there won’t be criticism from Martin.

There were several passes we played when moving the ball forward which basically had the same effect as a Wigan tackle.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

“ take the safest pass when a decent chance to attack is available”

There it is in a nutshell.

At the moment I think there is more chance of Martin moving to Southampton than Norwich.

Personally I’m more than happy to aim criticism at the manager and co, when it’s deserved and specifics are there for us all to see. As most of us are 👍

Most of it is justified Keith, we all know that.

Apparently Cooper is going there in the world cup break, their manager has one more game.

Manning saved Martin from a good booing off, at the end of the first half.
You could hear the crowd getting very restless at being 2 down from 2 set pieces (If we only had a set piece coach!? ) and the general lack of urgency, and the passing backwards and sidewards.
I read today the latest player RM has thrown under the bus is Oxo-Flex.
Taken off half time for apparently his work out of possession !
The more I watch us the more deluded I think RM is.
Flex was like a breath of fresh air, and deserved his start.
He has pace, and can beat a man, so to take him off when we needed forward momentum, didn’t make sense.
I’ll drive RM to Norwich, where yet again he’ll take 2 seasons to achieve feck all, but his possession stats will be 74%

Oko Fle¹x, Cooper and even Cundle are like a breath of fresh aira bit raw but prepared to commit to getting into the box with or without the ball, please let youth have is head but with the help of the old heads players like Naughton and Ntcham who have experience in different settings and leagues, when Naughton pushed forward we made space.
We saw the difference when Allen played.
I remember a young Ray Wilkins 18 year old Chelsea captain with the help of a senior Charlie Cooke make telling passes and runs which cut through defences and yet for England that talent was coached out of him to a boring let's make the safe ball alongside Bryan Robson two players who should have provided England a lot more.
Please do not coach the urge to press forward and compete for the ball out of the youngsters, it can make up for some faillings.
We seem to want to play safe but at the moment we cannot defend effectively chopping the defence up after the loss of Manning, most managers know their best defence it is the one that works so go back to it.
