I'm sure I heard that statement last season. Will the same statement be used next season? If of course we can hold on to him. Yawn

Almost. A brilliant and rather sinister word in this context Mr Flex obviously upset Russ because he forgotten the details it seems We play that slow it’s rather odd that they forget the details as there should no rush really and plenty of time to collect thoughts / details

He was referring to Cabango and Wood for the goals and Obafemi up front. Taking Flex off was a mistake.

A mistake? That's not what I read him say tis morning, he said Felx came off because of hs work rate off the ball I have to ask, what details? Did we forget to defend? Did we forget to move the ball quickly? Well yes to both of those but yet again Martin is straight out blaming the players. One of the best managers the world has seen, Alex Ferguson, does anybody remember him blaming his players?

I’m asked for details on my contempt for mRtinnHow about not taking responsibility for your team . There again he is not a manager but a coach

My view is taking him off is a mistake, Martin knows him better than me, but that’s what I think. Clearly not what he thinks. The details he speaks of is clearly what they worked on to defend against Wigan at set pieces. And Obafemi not carrying out instructions, not my words, his.

| My players didn’t listen to the detail. The explanation by Russell Martin on W on 22:22 - Nov 6 with 587 views | max936 | He cannot keep throwing his players under the Bus surely, there'll be a dressing room revolt if this continues, its just not on. He's the coach/manager, he needs to know that the players understand the instructions before taking the field and that they are well prepared to carry out those instructions, there's also got to be leeway in how to react when things are not going to plan and players should allowed to use their own initiative and football intelligence to do what they think needs to change. | |

I agree with your view, he was a threat to Wigan and we removed him. Martin sees it differently and was again blamingthe players for not listening. It's poor management. On the plus side, at least I am moaning about a draw and not a stuffing at home like after Blackburn, things have definitely improved but Martin still has lessons to learn.
