Up until last autumn Oxwich beach (privately owned) were allowing vans like mine to park overlooking the beach.
Would have been perfect.
Sadly some idiots started doing and dealing drugs down there ( on a beautiful day in front of families ! )
Police were called and the owners changed their policy
I have done wild camping before but usually look for somewhere with at least a couple of vans, cars, etc otherwise as you say can be a bit nervewracking |

Fancy doing the Scottish NC500 maybe later this year or next year.
Had this van since July and due to several reasons ( including breaking my foot playing football ) my plans have been curtailed.
So want to kickstart the year and make the most of my free time ( around the Swans fixtures, plus my partner's shift pattern. I am lucky to be a man of leisure )
I did Scotland a few times with my late wife including on the shores of Loch Ness ( no sightings sadly ) so look forward to exploring more up there |

We follow a couple on You tube who travel Europe and wild camp , oldish cple like ourselves , and they do pretty well, their last trip was to Norway.

Builth is a fantastic location right in the centre.
Just have to pay for extra tickets if you have a long vehicle taking two spaces.
