If you read Martin's quotes carefully, there's very little solid content in there. Kaplan said he supported the supposed direction of travel (return to the 'Swansea Way'), asked lots of questions about specific players (willing to bet that was mostly about those with contract issues/sale potential), did not actively roast Martin and acknowledged that there'd need to be lots of transfer activity in the summer.
I don't see anything in there to indicate that Kaplan offered Martin a contract extension, or even acknowledged that it would be Martin overseeing this summer's business. | |

I mean, Martin was never going to come out and say 'Kaplan told me I'll be sacked on Saturday,' was he? You look at his body language in the post-match press conference and it tells a very different story. He also appears to be dressing as a Goth now. | |

Maybe it’s because they don’t fully appreciate the signs or that they are showing loyalty but the one criticism I would have of he US consortium is they give people too much time. TBF if they act they are criticised for interfering if they don’t they are criticised for procrastinating. (Owners in general.) Ours gave Jenkins too much time and power and they appear to be doing same with Martin and possibly Winter. The CEO is supposed to be running the club but he does get left out of our rants, moans, concerns.
I don’t buy the accusation the Americans don’t care. They are shrewd business people who know their initial investment will never be repaid if the club is failing. |  |

Winter gets plenty from me, both him and Martin are more than surplus to requirements in my opinion. | |
