However, there’s definitely a narrative within the CPS statement that ‘at this time’ there is insufficient evidence to proceed. This isn’t dead for sure.

"The 33-year-old man who was arrested in connection with an investigation opened in June 2021 will face no further action. The investigation team and Crown Prosecution Service have been working together and reached the decision that the evidence available at this time does not reach the threshold set out on (sic) the Code for Crown Prosecutors."

His bail has been dismissed.
There were no charges, and he hasn’t been cleared.
I’m not sure how the criminal system works in our country anymore. He’s either innocent or guilty. After two years of investigation you’d think a final conclusion would be drawn and not being left in limbo.

There’s got to be some issues with the allegations granted, but the threshold test is key. They’ve left themselves open to pursue him again in the future.
