Maybe I'm feeling more sentimental this year, having lost my sister in August and then finding out I have a 17 year old son whom I knew nothing about until 2 days after my sisters funeral BUT we don't have to do the spending or the partying to have a good Christmas, do what makes you happy.
This year is a first for me, I have volunteered to do overtime during Christmas week, the 27th and 29th with the extra money to be used for paying off bills, not spent on extra presents.

I won't do any Crimbo stuff until December, that's something I do hate, there's no decs up here until the first weekend in Deember.
I put it off and tell I need nothing They still buy me tut. Apparently we are going Xmas shopping next week where we will buy all sorts of crap that will end up in the bin . We are also doing Christmas dinner for 10. I will spend it playing my piano with my eldest grandchild trying to stop her banging the keys like Keith Emerson in his pomp.
