Seem to interpret the muddy waters of the game without incident or recourse.

Today an example of discipline in the Newport v Gwent game.

Words to the effect -

Gwent player “ oh come on Ref”

Ref “ Do you know what this signifies “ ? Holding out his whistle.

Gwent player “ Yes I understand your decisions are to be respected”

Ref “ Good, now if you want to become a referee speak to me after the game, as it stands you’re a player, so stop complaining and do more playing. And you need to because you are getting hammered”

Gwent player “ My apologies sir”

End of chat.

if the football authorities had made sure the officials were better AND backed them properly when they enforced the rules maybe the players wouldn't be such a bunch of big headed, moaning cheats!

This would go such along way in improving the game, I di like the new laws brought in this season such as yellow card for kicking the ball away and adding extra time way above what we've been used to .
I watched a youth rugby match last Sunday between 2 u14s sides and how refreshing it was to hear both sets of players address the ref as Sir , some mistakes were made by the ref but no moans , tantrums etc from the players or the line .
I know junior football refs wear a yellow arm band as a reminder ( mostly to the parents) that they are only kids and to respect them and their decisions , which is sad that grown ups need to be reminded who their ranting at,

"In a free society, the State is the servant of the people—not the master."

Football hasn't the guts to dirt out players who think they can cheat throughout a game and gob off to officials
It kills football for many

Poll: Christmas. Enjoyable or not
