The odd thing is people were clamouring for his sacking right at the start of the season, and that has risen. 0 If you want to remove this post from the board index, just click the hide post icon below. | The crazy thing about Alan Sheehan and how his team is viewed this season on 08:33 - Nov 4 with 1455 views | Fireboy2 | I find it laughable that some people thought that after such a big upheaval in the summer that we were going to be nailed on in the play offs. I find it even more absurd that these people want sheehan out, I wasn't happy after the QPR game but the two following games have showed that sheehan is upto the job and in time will do ok for us. Its lucky that most fans are realistic and know that us being promotion or even play off material isn't going to happen overnight.

| The crazy thing about Alan Sheehan and how his team is viewed this season on 10:11 - Nov 4 with 1265 views | streetlyjack | Good article there Keith with some balance around our current situation. Personally, the frustration with the way we have been playing (the last week has been an improvement granted) has been building for some time and is not solely down to Sheehan. The football under Steve Cooper was pretty dire and whilst it proved effective to some degree possibly cost us a few fans as no one wanted to watch that style of football after being spoilt with some exciting progressive football in previous years. Watching our recent patch of slow, tedious, safety first football with no goal threat whatsoever takes me back to those tiresome and dreary games we all witnessed over recent years - perhaps I have football related PTSD from watching the ball being passed from side to side with no purpose? I am not advocating for a change at this moment in time in the hope that Sheehan and the coaches can evolve this squad into something more progressive and threatening, we do have pace and creativity in the team and should be capable of hurting teams more so no real excuses for not improving our current situation. The Swans do frustrate me currently as does most football these days to be honest with the ball constantly going backwards, goalkeepers having more touches than centre forwards, wingers who refuse to take anyone on, 2 CDM's in every team ......thanks Pep Guardiola for convincing every modern coach this is how football should be played FFS. I need to go and have a lie down in a dark room and reminisce about the 'good old days' of a Robbie James 30 yard pisswhistle or Tommy Hutchinson actually trying to beat a full back at the age of 65 (it's really not that hard @Ronald if you give it a go). | |

Why? PNE are very strong at home and have hit a purple patch. I suspect sheehan will be cautious in his starting 11, I expect that widell wont start because of this and I cant wait for the uproar, especially from the wirral one who cant be bothered driving 46 miles and paying £1 to actually watch us live.

Great post ,you’re so right about the way football has gone lately , even conference sides roll the ball out from the keeper and faff about at the back now , I watched the Big Match Revisited the other day showing games from the early 80’s ,it was refreshing to see teams going all out at each other fast and furious trying to get the win ,great entertainment, although the pitches looked like building sites and some of the challenges would be regarded as common assault these days

Didn't realise how many passes there was until the goal. What is clear to see is the amount of times that we push the ball wide which ultimately gives idah the space to trap the ball then turn to get the shot off.

I’ll be disappointed if he’s that cautious to be honest. We need to start on the front foot and that doesn’t suit Ronald or Eom. They may be better after the customary 60’ are up as impact players pitting their wits against tired defenders.

I dont think people realise how good PNE are at home, they rarely lose so i just dont get why some people expect us just to go all out attack. If we do we could find ourselves a few goals down, thats why I think sheehan will start with the same starting 11 as Saturday and as I have already mentioned I can't wait for the fallout on here if he does 🫢

Becuse we need to be more on the front foot away from home and it's all about opinions but I'd play Widell we need to be more creative.

Fair comment I suppose but I’d rather us try to win not not lose. Different if you’re the manager with head firmly on the block. Whatever, he’s damned if he does, damned if he doesn’t if we lose.
