There’s no guarantee experience will change anything
All I know at this point is that if he tries to get is to play football at the tempo Klopp had his Liverpool team going at it will be an improvement visually.
Think enough young managers have come through and done well, we unfortunately haven’t chosen them. |  |

There is a massive difference between coaching under an experienced head coach or manager and the top job which isn't just about coaching but responsibility for many other things including in game tactical changes.
He has very limited experience.
As number 2 at Saltzburg Red Bull he lasted less than 6 months! he has been head coach for about a dozen games in a very low standard league. He has no experience of championship football which is massively different.
I have coaching qualifications but you wouldn't appoint me! What has he done to justify this massive leap of faith? Even his results on the second division in Portugal are nothing to write home about.
I would love him to prove himself worthy with us but it is a massive and unnecessary gamble. [Post edited 18 Nov 12:34]

Martinez had zero coaching experience when he came here as manager he was a player at Chester when Huw brought him in to replace Jackett.
It is always a risk and quite often assistants struggle to step up to the no1 spot....
Martinez's no2 Graeme Jones tried and failed....and there have been numerous others toi over the years

No, not bad and pretty good. But, compared to what? The problem is that when you compare the two 37-yr old managers, Hellberg's most recent experiences & records are at the top-level of the Swedish pyramid; whereas, Matos only has a 6-2-3 record as a manager in the 2nd division in Portugal. That's a BIG roll of the dice, imo! | | | |
