| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

| Richard Tice on 21:40 - Nov 19 with 1034 views | Demitrius | How so ? Is it the ear defenders thing ? I’ll assume it is, I’m actually sat in a pub with earplugs in right now. My hearing is wrecked by years of gigs, playing live and clubbing. I find it more comfortable to block out a lot of noise in such environments as it often feels like a streak knife being jabbed in my eardrums. I can only imagine how bad it is for those kids and adults on the spectrum who feel these things much more acutely than the general population. There’s a lot of bollocks spouted about ND being a made-up condition , mainly from the right, and people should educate themselves on it before spouting off. The science is recent and ongoing but it’s out there to digest. | |

I’ve lost 65% of my hearing and hearing aids only last five years It’s inconvenient wearing them especially if you forget to take them out to have a swim It’s expensive mistake Look after your hearing and turn it down

A solution needs to be found as at time of writing, LAs have around £18 billion of overspend on SEN due to paid back in 2028. If that happens, 60% of councils will go bust. We’ve also got one in eight 18 – 25-year-olds not in work, many citing mental health as the primary issue. Meeting the needs of all children in pretty much impossible now and there needs to be a debate around education, not least what schools are for. Trouble is the required outcomes (IMO) won’t be popular and governments will continue to want to kick it down the road.
