I was listening to a guy being interviewed on Talk radio earlier. He was a car dealer selling BMW's among others.
A couple of guys called into his showroom one day and asked him if he'd like to start selling Chinese cars instead. He said I laughed. Until they started talking numbers. He said that the Chinese manufacturers are happy to make ZERO profit for the next ten years because their aim is to take over the European mass car market completely.
There will be niche makers not affected like Rolls Royce and Aston Martin etc but the rest will be in trouble. My first thought was for our car industry.
But then he talked about Germany. I knew their car manufacturing market was huge but he said it makes up 25% of the entire German GDP ! Mind boggling.
Can you imagine the effect on the whole German economy if they achieve their aim. |  | | |  |

I read today that in the UK wind farm industry, most of all new turbines installed will be manufactured by Chinese companies so it won't just our nuclear industry but renewables .
When you see what car manufacturers like MG & Jaecoo can provide I can only see the market flooded with more chinese imported vehicles. | |
