You could ask the question why we signed him while Parker had shown good promise when he had previously play in the championship on the wing with us and had creditable displays in the League Cup, unless we were looking at Benson as a loan to buy. Rather try and develop our own young players. |
There must be reasons as to why Parker hasn't been utilised, but it remains a bit of a mystery has to why he at least hasn't been give a chance, I think 3 at the back for some games is needed especially to help us in attack. [Post edited 28 Dec 2025 15:58]

Unfortunately, that’s a series of managers who haven’t fancied Parker now. I agree, he impressed me in the limited chances he’s had.
We’ve got to bring someone in at RB now. I’m sure Matos would prefer Galbraith in the middle. If we’re not trusting Parker, a loan makes sense to me, as Key isn’t a bad fullback, he’s just been some way short of his usual standards this season. |
Tymon's defensive game has improved of late maybe at a little expense of his attacking contribution, all about getting the right balance, Tymon's deals better with the ball in the air better, interceptions are better and is not being backwards so often but good wingers will cause problems.
Key has struggled in the same areas and hasn't improved but I think the biggest bug bear has been the inability to link up with the players in front of him on the wing. | | | |

I think Sam Parker must have been carrying a knock for a couple of weeks as he only featured against Millwall for the under 21s on Dec 20th....He wasn't in the 3 previous U-21 squads and not on the first team bench since 6th Dec against Oxford at home but apart from Santos the squad was said to be fully fit so that still doesn't explain his absence... |  |

Galbraith influences the game where ever he is.
He was a RB all of last season in league one it’s mad how many years we have struggled in this position.
A better example is when Liverpool play dom S there to get salah into the team .

I don't think we will send him back out on loan. His contract runs out in June and I'm pretty sure we don't have an option, I'll gladly be proved wrong. I would imagine we would want him here to see him and tie in a contract. | | | |

The guy has been away for a year nearly.
I wonder if this was a ‘gap year’ with the chance to study and play football.
Either way I think he will come back better for it. Very brave of any young lad rolling the dice anywhere abroad.
He won’t be short of options clearly I don’t think the 2nd division in the USA can be compared to our league .
Get his contract extended see if we can get him out until the end of the season at a league one/two team.
If we are going to recall anyone it will be can congreave the lad has been fantastic in a struggling team.
For anyone who hasn’t kept up check cam out v Celtic 😯.
Also we have Wilson in the spl that would be ahead in the queue.
In the battle we could be pulled into I think experience will be more important than blooding kids.
