| Swansea City v Preston North End : Match day thread on 16:21 - Feb 21 with 2411 views | KeithHaynes | Walta and Yalcouyé had good games off the bench today. Can see one of them starting. Franco ran his heart out but as it stands can’t see him being ignored. | |

| Swansea City v Preston North End : Match day thread on 10:30 - Feb 22 with 2068 views | RichardO | Do we need to get the ball into the middle quicker yo catch defenders on the back foot with a limited number of our players in the box or hold to play up out wide to ensure the Calvary can arrive with good runs into the box for the ball on the floor. It is often the case as the player holding the ball up out wide has too many players around him including our own, once we have possession upfield, with players like , Tymon, Galbraith and even Key in support then our midfielders or opposite wingers should be looking to get in front of their respective markers. The opposite full backs should hold good defensive positions alongside the centre halves along with a least one pacy midfielder depending on the opposition. Surprised a little that we didn't hold the ball up.in the corners towards the end as we had started to win possession further up field with our new subs on. Yes we almost scored but we ga very away good possession at times setting the nerves on edge. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

It was a great 3 points yesterday A battling result against difficult opponents It still drives me crazy ,how balls that are just blindly hacked away and ricochets and deflections always seem to fall to the opposition , we never seem to get any luck with loose balls ,it’s uncanny The other thing that had me bouncing yesterday was that prat with the whistle,it’s like we always seem to get the incompetent ones ,drives me crazy,he gave fouls that weren’t and didn’t give ones that were ….. but at least yesterday he was cack with both sides Cam and Ben were great yesterday and Franco was everywhere I’d still like to see Vig go long down the middle now and again ,yesterday there were gaps between their back 3 we could have tried to exploit But great result COYS

Your point about no luck with loose balls is something I’ve noticed. Is it bad luck or something else? I don’t know but it’s very frustrating.

Deflection against Wrexham for the Vipi goal. Deflection yesterday off the defender for Vipi to score. We do get them.
| Swansea City v Preston North End : Match day thread on 18:00 - Feb 22 with 1661 views | Gardelino | I'd love to see Matos give Yalcouye a start through the middle against Preston. He's one of the very few players we have (Galbraith probably being the only other one) that are prepared to drive at the central defenders which is something they don't like. He's a positive type of player that always looks to go forward or pass forward which is definitely something we are lacking. Too much reliance on the wings in my opinion. I'd also like to see Walta given a go at 10 to see what he can give us in that position. | | | |

I agree. He is a handful and Preston will park the bus and try to hit us on the break.

| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

This is a fair concern. Pre-game it will be electric. Preston will be looking to make the game boring and take the crowd out of it. I’ve honestly no idea if it will be bouncing all night, or if it will go flat early in the game, particularly with a few thousand not really there for the football. Players have got to be professional and Matos will be lasered in on that, but it’s probably not the easiest thing to do in these circumstances.

Playing in too tight areas of the pitch, we have seen it before, could have played in behind a little more or even quicker throw ins instead of letting Bristol get organised because at times their winger was slow to cover the space in front of Eom that would have allowed balls to feet for Eom to lay off the ball allowing the midfield to come onto the ball catching the defence flat footed. We had in previous games played quicker throw ins that has seemed to have decrease somewhat.
