Rather than give six teams a chance, maybe everybody should have a chance, we could play eachother twice a season home and away and award 3 points for a win and 1 for a draw. Those with the most points go up.

IMO it devalues the league system and makes a mockery of the game, why should a team who finishes in say 8th position get promoted over a team which finished 3rd. | |

Imagine someone like an Oxford scrapes into 8th on the last day of the regular season, at least 15-20 points behind 3rd and then - on a high - flukes its way through the playoffs. Yes, I like the idea of a team desperate to up against a team desperate to stay up, it feels like a highly charged game between teams that have not played eachother recently, possibly for a few years. | |
