Time to put our big boy pants on tonight and scrap for a result. The next big challenge for Matos and the team is to find the right balance in away games if we are to improve as a team. Its a different formula in the championship away from home which usually equals less possession, quick counter attacks and utilising your set plays (seems to work for Milwall, Hull etc).
Our home form is magnificent but is being completely eroded by our dismal away form so things have to start to improve here starting hopefully tonight. We have been switching off far too easily in away games to gift teams easy goals so the players focus and concentration has to be spot on toight to give us a platform to build from.
Focus, graft, physicality and being more direct will get us a result. Possession without purpose has got us nowhere away from home this season so we really need to mix things up a bit in our remaining games to become less predictable and more threatening.
We cannot continue to roll over and have our belly tickled away from home, time to stand up and be counted, the ability is there and hopefully the mentality will start to change too. Hopefully our wingers have been staying behind for extra crossing practice, if we could improve this facet of our game it really would make a big difference. | |

Got slightly concerned about 20 minutes in. The pattern of play was beginning to mimic last Saturday where our lack of a forward thinking midfielder allowed the opposition into the game.
We've picked up since then though. Moving the ball quicker and some nice interplay back and fore. Key probably the pick of them again so far, with a belting goal to boot. |  |

Well that was rather good, no complaints from me except that about half way through the half it seemed we couldn’t wait to give the ball away but two cracking goals and neither by VIP which is doubly pleasing, can Portsmouth be so poor in the second half we’ll see but that’s not taking anything away from the boys who played some lovely one touch passing football which opened them up at will, watching the highlights of the Wrexham match Hull scored a cracking free kick to make it one nil then missed a penalty and all their commentators could hope for was that the wind will be in their favour in the 2nd half. | |

We're screwed if Vipi gets injured for any length of time before Idah comes back because we probably could have played some sort of Terrier type dog up front and it'd have contributed about as much as Cullen did.

There we go steadily climbing the table, currently 9th. Mstos deserves the credit for taking us from where we were to where we are. Possibly his team selection is more often right than not, even if some can't see it. |  | | |
