What does Vitor do when Franco returns?
Who does he drop to bring Franco in?
I know it is only one game but that midfield looked good on Saturday and as others have mentioned Vitor has been trying Fulton and Stamenic together on preseason and we all know successful teams are built around consistent selection.
Also where does this leave Widdell and Walta? Will they be happy having "bit " parts
It will be interesting to see how things progress but we do know have a strong midfield to select from

With 5 subs now allowed the game is about getting the best out of 15 or 16 players. We have enough decent midfield players to change the whole midfield in every game if we want to. |  |

Franco gives the ball away a lot in midfield, which he then goes and wins back immediately! I don't think he is an automatic starter. On his plus side, he is a fan favourite and sometimes you need that extra lift from the fans that only certain players bring. | | | |

I quite like Just He may not be fully up to Championship speed yet but he isn't far off nice to see every touch seems to have purpose when he has time, he and the team will have tougher tests in the midfield than Stoke but I had my doubts because of that hope he could gel with Stamenic but he does seem to move the ball quickly when and as needed to link up with Opoku an understanding that will hopefully get better. | | | |

I still think we need a natural DM. Fulton is our current best option but he's not going to play every game. The improvement in Stamenic on Saturday when he started pushing forward should be the final nail in the coffin of the idea that he can do it.

Think it is more about getting the balance right in the midfield rather than have a Defensive Midfielder, when Fulton pressed forward on Saturday there seemed to be adequate cover behind him maybe Welsh reading the game better than Burgess, Stamenic able to drop back similarly Just. My concern is two fold how many 90 mins can Fulton be expected to keep a standard up and similarly Stamenic that slight lack of pace to see off those runners through the channels mean like Saturday the defending becomes a little desperate and errors occur, Fulton slip for example, maybe this league doesn't give our youngsters a lot of time to get to grips with the championship, would Franco be classed as a DM I think more so than the likes of Widell although Walta seems to read situations quite well and has an edge but would his lack of stature be a problem in the DM role. For me all about having the ability to read the game and getting the ball on the floor as quickly as viable so our better players can profit to get us up the field quicker and with control. | | | |
