Apparently Beajolais Nouveaux is French for "Gullible F*ckwits".

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

I know someone who's well into this stuff. He goes to posh places mind, not Swansea, and it seems to be a pretty big thing. I've never been bothered myself.

As it's Morgans, I'd steer well clear.

Winston is suggesting Beaujolais isn't really that good.

It's a blend and it's ok.

For a decent budget red ,go Malbec and Argentianian at that.

As a wine drinker, I know how much the French enjoy it. The English falling over themselves to buy, at top prices, this crap which they wouldn't be able to give away in France. There used to be competition in the 1980s to see who could get It over here first too. Somebody would chuck It into a car, or a hot air balloon.......

I will not be touching it, apart from the one included with the meal. Ghastly stuff.

If I wore a suit and worked in an office around Swansea I'd still phuck it off.

Cheap, tacky and pretentious.Originally set up so businessman could thrash out deals over a glass of red but now call centre dribblers telling tales of sales pitches and hilarious phone calls made.

A Beer and Lager day is long overdue where manual workers would thrash out the pubs and eachother.

Nouveau is best left to the gullible.

There are some great Beaujolais wines though - Brouilly, Fleurie, Morgon...

Yes there are some good ones. And even the more complex will often take a chilling. Sainsbury's does a nice Fleurie that chills well, or at least they used to.

I remember in the 80s; the news would have interviews with ruddy faced bank managers on the ferry. Do people still do it then?

Joe_bradshaw -I thought the cryochamber was the new name for Cardiff's stadium.

In the late 80s they used to do it everywhere. It seems to have died out across the rest of Britain, but lives on in grotesque exaggerated form in Swansea.
I don't really see anything wrong with it if folks are enjoying themselves. Tend to steer clear of town, mind.
What's this prejudice against cheap suits, anyway?
