There's a difference between not wanting prisoners to have an 'easy' time whilst in prison and them living in squalor because of private sector creaming money from contracts as is intimated in the article. Sounds like the place is falling apart. |  |

Fair point.
Morally, I have ,unsurprisingly , no sympathy for those in prison preferring to save mine for the victims.
Prisoners are released eventually but victims and their families often never escape being locked into the perpetual pain and anguish . Trust me, I've seen too much of it.
And quite what is with is obsession with hubcaps. | |

If the prisoners want better conditions why not let them pay extra for better conditions. Say a £100 per week to have a clean cell another £100 for better meals.
A bit like we charge pensioners in care homes. | |
