Maybe not OJ. I thoroughly enjoyed our early years of Premier League football and it coincided with the further rise of the ‘Swansea Way’. It only really started to go pear shaped when a new Dof role was assumed. Admittedly the last couple of years were tedious.
I see no reason why we can’t get back to that place though; we just need to be sensible about the timescales needed for our rebuild as this won’t happen overnight. Continuity of ownership is also a key success factor and there is a recent interview where the Americans stated that they were in for the long term. I take that comment with a little pinch of salt as I now believe that the goal is not resale of SCFC for large profit and instead this has been reduced to small profit or break even. I don’t sit in the camp that thinks they will pull out and absorb a loss; therefore regeneration is essential to them. |  |

Exactly. We’re perfectly set up to hit teams on the break with fast, flowing moves and the license to pour forward in numbers. We’re more suited to that than trying to pick our way through a team set up to defend. | | | |
