as parliament is sovereign in our democratic system, any referendum should take place after parliament has rejected May's deal.
If parliament approves May's WA, then we leave on those terms.
If parliament rejects May's WA and is unable to get an alternative WA approved then back to the people for a choice between leave without a WA or remain.

Simples
Its not though is it.
It could easily be argued that the decision to Leave has been taken, the only thing now up for debate is how we leave. In which case, as you say, if Parliament can't decide then the people should decide. Arguing for Remain to be on the paper would be difficult I think.
If we were to have a Losers Vote and leave wins again in any shape or form we'd be back to square one. The MP's would still be railing against it, calling us thick, old, poor, white, male, racist and uninformed.
The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.
Leaving with no deal and on WTO terms is f**king lunacy. The only reason people think it might be a viable option is because we haven't treated it like a realistic prospect for the last two years.
You're not supposed to call brexiteers thick but if you think walking away from the EU with no deal is in any measurable way a good thing for this country, then you are monumentally thick.

I just did a test and I am 0% dumb. I think that's all the scientific evidence you need. If E20's mad vegan science counts on here then this definitely will.

if we can't decide how we leave, then remain is a logical option.
we are very much in kebab shop territory now, the monkey tennis stage was passed long ago

I think you'd struggle to change a light bulb
My butler is responsible for such mundane and menial tasks around the château. When he returns from picking up my chargrilled artichokes from the olive counter in Tesco I shall order him to train me.

That’s the scenario remainers and certainly remain MPs have been aiming for since the day after the vote. They decided they weren’t agreeing to any sort of deal long before negotiating started.

are you saying parliament is sovereign?
I’m saying remain shouldn’t be an option given that after the last vote they’ve purposely tried to manufacture that situation. More than 90% voted for a referendum but have had no intention of honouring it. Labour and Tories manifestos pledged to honour referendum result but certain MPs have again refused to honour that.
