Try Sams down the bottom of Oxford Street , opposite Joe's.
For 6 or 7 quid you get a tidy amount and tea or coffee thrown in.

Most are pretty much alike although we all have our favourites for various reasons but If I were you would just go where is most convenient to safe time,being a one off.
It sounds like your in a group and heading towards Wind Street,just go into the Bank statement the large breakfast is passable and very cheap and you have the bonus you can have a pint with it also plenty of other food options,Breakfast stops being served at noon.If you are more picky wonder over to the market and ask any store holder where Adrian's breakfast cafe is.
The Breakfasts in Bistrot Pierre in Mumbles have taken off in the last few months if your down that area,a bit more expensive but better quality and a great view if eating upstairs. [Post edited 18 Jan 2019 13:51]

10 minutes walk from the train station and then 2 mins walk to Wind St.

You are correct, it used to be very good, however the last visit, was exactly that, the last.
Not sure if it's had a change of manager or whatever, but it's certainly gone down hill.
