I don't believe it's as straightforward as this or that the figure is so high. How were the questions worded ? Has anyone actually seen them ? People on the whole aren't the brightest at general knowledge (apologies for calling it that). Watching a quiz the other week and 2 out of the 8 contestants ( one of whom is studying chemical engineering at Herriott Watt university ) couldn't even name a EU country and some of those that did answer correctly were unsure of their answers so why would anyone expect them to know about the Holocaust or how many died ? This was a general knowledge quiz that you have to apply to be on, presumably because you believe that you have good general knowledge attributes. Still, headlines, headlines, headlines. That's all that seems to matter these days whether they're correct or not. For the record, I've never come across anyone saying that it never happened.

I don’t know if it’s because I’m an absolute gentleman but I could never imagine giving a lady like Rachel Riley abuse unless she specifically asks for it whilst dressed as Princess Leia.

Fair point, many fell in battle and bombings and others died of famine etc, but don’t you think it escalates to a whole new level of evil to systematically cram people into trains, send them hundreds of miles, then when they got off the other end strip them of all their clothes and belongings and gas them immediately?

Just had a quick look at her twitter and all I can see is her completely and utterly wiping the floor with Owen Jones which isn’t a difficult task admittedly but she’s certainly gone up in my estimations, if that were possible. Is he the 16 year old mentally ill person she has been hounding? He’s pushing 40 I believe.

Yes that's true, but the final solution wasn't agreed upon until 1942, I believe. Thousands were just rounded up and shot, not to mention the many Ghettos all over Europe.
The scary thing is it was so calmly calculated.These NAZI's weren't madmen or mentally ill, just calm collected and ideologically motivated. It could happen again in any country if the conditions were present
