This. You’ll pay an initial charge then add-ons if above a certain weight. I used Stuart’s Skips and I would recommend. Polite and friendly service and price good though I can’t remember the actual amount.

Yes. Plaster board from walls and ceilings, for example, will have to be bagged and charged for separately.
Skip Hire on 18:36 - Feb 13 with 1577 views | Jackfath | It's also worth considering a man and van refuse collection service. I saved £60 recently by doing this.

He didn't speak with an Oirish accent, and was called either Deleaney or Joyce was he?

Upwards of £250 I'd estimate.

Thanks, I've taken the old free standing oven over today. Spoke with the men who said I can recycle the kitchen units. Not sure about the bath and sink and toilet though. They told me plasterboard would be weighed in but I didn't ask about tiles.

Skip Hire on 10:05 - Feb 14 with 1335 views | ItchySphincter | You can’t mix wood and building rubble. Take all the wood and plastic down the recycling and just use the skip for rubble. Cost effective that way. You’ll be looking at about 200 notes.

Regarding plasterboard offcuts, the only place in Swansea you could take these boards to was at Llansamlet and you had to go on the weighbridge on entry, dump the plaster boards in the designated skips then re-weigh your vehicle before leaving the site. I think the minimum charge was £5. Hope this helps

All of the sites have free rubble skips and you can take the tiles to the site yourself. Buy a roll of builders rubble bags from a builders merchants and also use the council garden bags to transport rubble/rubbish to the sites. The council has changed what you can take to certain sites this month ... eg. Wood can only go to Llansamlet. Check the site below for what you can take to each site. I'm just finishing revamping my bathroom and used only Penlan and Llansamlet sites, saving a fortune on not hiring a skip, even getting the bath into my Nissan Qashqui, no probs. Get your car valeted at the end of your journeys to the tip and you'll be £"s in pocket. Good luck. PS ... Depending what your toilet, cistern and sink are made from, if it's china/porcelain, (if it smashes😂😂) you can put it in the rubble skip. https://www.swansea.gov.uk/recyclingcentres [Post edited 14 Feb 2019 15:23]
